River Cruise. This is one mode of transport that being used to tranfer passengger from and to Seberang Takir from and to Kuala Terengganu. This modes of transport had been used since 18th century and still being used today by local people. As part of a homestay package, D'Ketapang Homestay has selected this activities as a unique and must joined package. The tourist will enjoy the view along Terengganu river and stop at a few points to explore the activities that is included. Tourist will stop at Terengganu most famous Traditional Boat Building site and Terengganu State Museum. This journey also cruise along the State Crystal Mosque.

Traditional Squid Jigging. During the month of May till August every year, a flock of squids from the size of 3 inches to more than 1 metre long will invade along the coast of Terengganu to mate and lay eggs. During this month, there will be a fiesta along the coast of Terengganu. The display of lights from the fishing vessels will illuminate the coast. The local fishermen here will fish the squids using the the old methods and devices called 'Chandat'. Come and join us to experience the traditional squids fishing with the locals and taste the freshness of newly catch squids on a barbeque. |

The boat makers of Terengganu (Pulau Duyung) have always been famed for their skills in building traditional boats that withstand the test of time. THE LARGEST MUSEUM IN
SOUTH EAST ASIA
As the largest museum in South East Asia, located in a hilly area of Bukit Losong, Terengganu's State Museum houses century's worth of historical artifacts and artworks. The museum itself is an impressive architectural feat with majestic complexes covering a vast |

area of 27 hectares next to the Terengganu river. Inside, the museum prominently displays Terengganu and Malaysia's rich and colourful heritage in its many galleries including the Islamic Gallery, the Royal Gallery, the Crafts Gallery and many others. At the main entrance, the original Batu Bersurat (In scripted Stone) of Terengganu is located as a prove of one of the earliest Islamic influence. Pasar Besar Kedai Payang
As it is locally known, is a treasure trove of traditional handicraft. Batik, songket, brass ware, pendants mats and wicker baskets are some of the items you can find at its shopping arcade. Fresh produce, such as fruits and vegetables can also be found in another part of the market. |

Bukit Puteri
It is 200 m high historical hill, situated next to Istana Maziah. It was use as a fortress between the years of 1831 to 1876 to defend the state from enemy attacks. Some of the historical remains which can be seen on Puteri hill are cannon, a flagpole, a large bell and a fort. |

Istana Maziah
According to historical records, the palace located at the foot of Puteri hill, was built in 1897. 20 craftsmen using limestone mixed with clay coarse salt, egg yolk and honey constructed it. Completed in 1903, The palace now |

serves as a venue for royal birthdays and weddings, conferment of titles and welcoming dignitaries. Located in front of Istana Maziah, Dataran Maziah is a mini-park beautifully adorned with landscapes of shrubs, trees and paved walkways. In the center of the park, stands an impressive replica of Betel Chewing instruments such as Gobek Sireh and Kacip Pinang. |
